Edmonton's First Annual Community League Member Appreciation Day at Earth's General Store

For the past couple of years the Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues has been coordinating a citywide Community League Day. It is a day that many community host events as well as an opportunity for people living in the community to come out and find out what the community league can offer them, a chance for people to meet others, get involved and join the community league.

I like community leagues. I think they perform an important service to helping a community come together. Earth's General Store likes community and we want to support communities to grow and flourish.

If you can’t make it out to the Community League Days you can easily sign up on line (and print out your membership card) but I would encourage people to make it out to the event in their community since there is usually some good food and good times. Some community leagues are having breakfasts, brunches/barbecues, workshops, and more. Check out what is happening in your community by visiting their website.

So to ‘reward’ people that become members in their local community leagues for the 2012/2013 year Earth's General Store will host Edmonton’s First Annual Community League Member Appreciate Day. This will consist of a storewide sale and a barbecue. All people have to do is bring in their new 2012/2013 Community League membership card to the store and we will deduct 10% off their total bill (sale items included!).

In addition we will have a barbecue from 12 noon to 4:00p with a portion of the sale of the hot dogs and soft drinks will go to the local community leagues of Ritchie, Strathcona/Mill Creek, Boonie Doon and King Edward Park.

Wins all around!
